Working Partime

Couple of days ago, I posted about having a work-free week, but I guess I spoke too soon because last Sunday,I got a partime job . Anyway, I heard about the available work thru Kendrick's baby sitter, her husband told me that she was working there just for the week while the school is off, then I asked if I could work there too and what do you know, she make the call and I was asked to come since Monday. The work is good for this week only as I was about to go back to my regular work next week after the holidays. I'm so thankful I got this extra job,even for only a week because it'll give me extra spending money for New Year plus I don't have to take the bus because I carpool with my friend who owned a Honda Civic, although her car had a little problem on it's head gasket,but it works fine just to use for going to work. What's more, she's lucky because her cousin who works at Los Angeles auto repair is here in Canada spending the holidays with them, and that saves her a lot of money going to auto shop.
Anyway, today is Wednesday, I still have two days to work,actually the work is available until Saturday but I already informed the Supervisor that I will only work until Friday, plus,Saturday is New Year's Day and I'm thinking of taking the boys somewhere, that is,if we are not too tired from the party this coming Friday.

Home Decoration

If you want to have  a clean air indoor, the best thing to do is to have an Indoor Planters as a part of your home decor. There are so many Decorative Planters that you can choose from to match the theme of your house.It's not really hard anymore to think on what kind of planters to put in each room because they have a certain design,color,shape and materials to meet your styles.
Back in the Philippines, I remember a friend who complained of to much asthma attacks on her two kids, I advice her to put Indoor Planter inside her  house instead of using the air humidifier  and she was so thankful because it indeed help to improved the health of her kids because the plants help toclean the air their breath.Aside from it cleans the air, it also adds more beauty to one's house.

My Own City

I finally built my own city,yes!after playing farming,cooking,fishing,animal ranch, this is the new thing that keeps me busy after work,the new FB game called CityVille, it's the latest game that I'm getting addicted too. I think the landscape architect  in me loves the idea of designing my own city. I don't know,I basically tried playing most available FB games there is aside from the online casino.  I think it's the only games that I'm not really interested in playing, maybe because I'm not a gambler,plus the fact that I have no money for it add more reason not to play that game. :)
But lately, because of my work, I wasn't able to tend my city and it slow me down in leveling up, maybe next week,I will have more time online again and I will rearrange my buildings too because I just added another piece of land.Here's my building headquarters;
It's a fun game, let me see how long I would last playing it. :)

Our Christmas Eve Celebration

A friend from church invited us to spend the Christmas Eve with them. Her 5 yrs old son is also one of Kendrick's best friend, it's the same friend whom we trusted to leave the boys last Summer when I was working.We arrived around after 8pm, and as usual, we are the first visitors, while waiting for the other families that she invited, I help her to update her medical resume,  we were just reviewing everything when they arrived, then we started eating, but of course, we have to pray first to Thank the Lord for all the blessings.
Here's the food we enjoyed during dinner;
 Christmas Eve came and it's time to open the presents. Here's Kendrick and her son;
Kendrick was feeling under the weather but that doesn't stop him to enjoy the night.Until now,he still nursing with watery eyes and sneeze and a little fever but Thank God he's always as jolly as he is. We went home around 2am, and 10am Christmas morning, another friend ,also from church ,invited us over for lunch and dinner at their house and that's where we spent our Christmas day yesterday.
It was a Great Christmas For All Of Us!!!!

One For The Road!

MM#75: Perfect Christmas

 It's really hard to define what is the Perfect Christmas because each family have their own little way of creating one.  My little family of four here in  foreign land is always thankful that we are still surrounded by people that truly love us with the love of God. Eventhough both side of the family are miles away,but that doesn't stop us for celebrating Christmas.
We have a very very simply family tradition every Christmas eve, that is watching any of our favorite Christmas movie while waiting for a snowfall, then we all go to bed,christmas morning came and it's time to open all the presents under the tree.Back in US, Christmas dinner is always at my in-laws place, but here,it's gonna be our second time to spend it at a friends house,but it doesn't matter where we are,It's always a Perfect Christmas for us.
Merry Christmas from my family...to yours.....<3

Souvenir From His Friend

One of Patrick's best friend in school is Australian. According to him, their family just came here this year and he is also new to the school and they felt a common bond because Patrick was on the same situation last March when we moved here in Windsor, plus the fact that both of them are expat, (Patrick was US-born) . Then,last week of school, his friend make this graffiti on his little notebook, his friend was known for being good at it, then he told me that his friend will be going back to Australia that Sunday to spend the australian holidays, unfortunately, it's also for good, their not coming back here in Canada anymore, I don't know the whole story,those are all according to Patrick.
Here's his friend little souvenir for him.

He got his email though,hopefully they can continue their friendship with the help of technology and maybe,just maybe, in the near future, he might be able to visit him in Australia. :)

Keep Them Busy

Whenever my boys are on a school break like this time of the year, it's usually a pain in me on how am I going to keep them busy and not bugging me about "i'm bored" term every single minute, as if it's my responsibility to keep them entertain that sometimes I wish we have enough budget to go on a villa holidays vacation, and maybe spend the whole school and work break in one of those lovely villas in France. But since we couldn't afford it yet, (hopefully in the near future though) I'm so thankful that at least we have electronics gadgets to keep their hands busy instead of spending the day complaining of there's nothing else to do. Which is sometimes,I really don't understand that I feel like I have to give them the litany of "when I was growing up..." over and over again.
Thankfully,today, after playing on the computer for an hour or so, Patrick volunteer on shovelling the front and then play in the snow after. I know that regardless of how "addicted" they are to their electronic games, their body is stil wanting to go out,stretch and have some real fun activity outside regardless of the weather. As much as I want to do the same, my body is aching for something, and that is body pain and I try not to complain much about it,otherwise my youngest son will just give me , "mommy, I think you're just getting old" kind of answer whenever he heard me saying something about any pain in my body.lol!
Anyway, here's my boys doing the things what they do best, playing

Most often that not, I try to capture everything with my new digicam as well,although I'm still trying to figure out how to get the best out of it because some of the pictures always blurry.

Wintery Mood

I am so not in the mood to update all my blogs, this winter weather is taking its toll on me. I'm just thankful that I'm off to holiday break from work as well as the boys is on school break too. It's a great weather just to wake up late and then snuggled in bed all day, that's what my youngest and I did when we woke up this morning.  Hubby have to go to work as early as 6am  as he works in a day shift until Thursday,then, he'll be on break for next week and will be back by January.
The boys and I usually spend our days in front of our Mitsubishi TVs, yes, we do have two tv, the other one is exclusively for Wii.. It's a good timing that we just upgraded our cable  to HDMI TV cable, it is a kind of cable that is specially design for home theater viewing pleasure and I'm enjoying the tv more than ever!Although I have no idea what's the big difference using the regular cable, but we opt to have the HDMI wall plate insert for safety reason for having two boys around the house running like crazy.
Anyway, I got to go as Kendrick is asking for Pancake! :D

CLSF-Windsor's Christmas Party

Our church celebrated it's Annual Christmas Party today with lots of fun and lots of food as well. We had a little program after the service and exchange gift for grown ups and kids alike. I didn't bring my DSLR but I had my digicam instead. I didn't take the  amount (average of 200)  of pictures that I usually take with my big camera,that's why I only have a few pictures to share.
Me and hubby with the youngest member of our church, Baby Camille Grace, she'll be 3 months old this coming 28.
Kendrick with his friend,Gabby;
 Patrick during their group performance,
 And yours truly with a gigantic scarf and a goofy friend behind me, lol!

Holiday Break!

My boys have a two-week Holiday Break from school and \i'm glad they did! This last week of school for them was so stressedfull to all of us because of our work and this break will literally "Give Us A Break" that we really wanted.
Now, at least I have time to finish all the things that I need to be done, offline and online. I'm still looking for a flower delivery in Miami Florida because we are thinking of sending flowers to hub's (ex)step-mom who is in Florida right now with her daughter.It's the boys idea actually and I'm glad they still think of her even after her divorced with FIL.
Anyway,I got to go now because I still need to eat dinner and hopefully I would be able to finish all my task tonight.

Holiday Mailboxes

Since the holiday seasons are here once again, it's very common now to pass by a house with decorative cluster mailboxes, even those apartment mailboxes which is usually using a CBU mailboxes are not far behind either in terms of decorating their house, mailboxes included.
When I went to work today,I also notice that our commercial mailboxes have a little red ribbon on it to make it look more a little festive.With our own mailbox, I also put a little Christmas decor that I bought at the dollar Store, my boys,whom are very excited putting all the holiday decor thought it's cute.I like the way the community mailboxes at the nearby neighborhood was decorated because I could tell that they spent quite a mount of money to make their place look unique, then the snow added more beauty to it. I wish I could take a picture but I always forgot to bring my camera with me.

MM#74: Little Christmas Tree

Yup! another Christmas song title for Mommy Moments theme and I think I like Mommy's Chris' idea for the whole December topic.
Here is our Little Christmas Tree and it is literally little. :D Well, as much as I want to have a big tree like the one that you can see in the mall, our house is too small for that and having a big tree will be  out of place. We bought this tree 3 years ago, it was our first Christmas here in Canada and it'll be our 3rd time to celebrate the holidays here. I did a little bit of experimenting this year and that is to have a theme for our tree and my choice of color is Gold.

We put it up a day after US Thanksgiving and the boys help me decorate it, that is our own little family tradition, hubby said it's too early, but I told him, in the Philippines, it's already too late! I think it doesn't matter with the kids if the tree is big or small as long as they know what is the Reason behind the Season.
Happy Mommy Moments!

Protect Your Information

The arrest of Wikileak's founder, Julian Assange is now all over the net. Yesterday,I read the news about his supporters hacking the Mastercard website after the said financial institution deny their request of using their service to ask for a donation for their websites. As a Mastercard card holder, the news gave me an alarm to watch all my online transaction as I always do online shopping, even our card from our bank was also accredited to Mastercard.Not that we have lots of money in the bank but it's the information that I'm worried about.  I also try to read some information on how to get an identity theft protection. Then I found an online website called IdentityHawk, what they do was to keep an eye to every online transaction that their customer are making, they analyzed everything from public to private database, chatroom,even the "black market" and once they detect a threat, they will instantly alert their clients.
Identity theft is so rampant here in North America specially this time of the year where most people opt to shop online to avoid the crowded mall,although it's really a brilliant idea, but if you are not familiar how identity thief works their way out to get your financial information, I think mall shopping is still the best way, as long as you will only use cold cash.

Snowy Day

I went to work this morning but I was sent home earlier,so I only work for 4 hours today,which is good because on my way home, it was snowing really,really bad. As I was waiting for the bus, I passed the time by reading the bluray reviews on the newspaper,now I think I want a PS3 because it plays the bluray disc (=^_^=).
I immediately called the baby sitter the minute I got home to let her know that she doesn't need to watch Kendrick this afternoon since I'm already home. Thankfully, she's very nice and she don't mind if I cancell her schedule.Now, I'm home and could snuggle with my boys all day or watch the snow falling.

The Perfect Wedding

Wedding day was considered as the most special days in every womens life, it doesn't matter if the wedding is very simple or so grand, the most important part is to make it memorable, not only for the couples but also to their family and guest.
Nowadays, planning a wedding is not as hard as it used to be. There are many wedding websites where the couple,specially the bride, could check every details that she want to know in planning her special day and I think it minimized the stresse and make the big day more organized. The good thing about checking all this sites when planning a wedding, is it'll save you money,because you can do it and no need to hire a professional wedding planner. It is both beneficial to everyone, from the couple, their friends,families and all other important guest because they could check the wedding details online, it means, they don't need to check the wedding registry anymore because it's already their on the website.

Painted Face

Yesterday was the boys Christmas Party at school. We went there after an hour I came home from work. I was really tired but I promised the boys that I'll take them,so I have no choice but to keep my promise. I'm glad we did came actually, they had so much fun. I didn't brought my camera with me as I'm not in the mood to take pictures. Kendrick did some crafts and he had his face paint as well.
There was also a raffle prizes and Patrick won a pad of holiday stickers. This picture was taken when we got home, he refused to take a bath this morning,so when he went to school today, he still had his face.
I was so tired this morning,that when husband took them to school,I went back to bed and took a nap, I didn't even hear the phone rang when the agent called for the cheap car insurance quote that I've been asking for.Now,it's already past 2pm and it's time to pick them up!

Golden Gift

It's the time of the year again when we try to think what's the best gift we could give to that special someone. Why not consider giving something that will last for a lifetime, that even after the next generation of the recipient would benefit from it.I'm talking about giving IRA Gold accounts. It's a bit pricey,yes, but it's all worth it knowing that Gold never lost it's value since the beginning of time.
In the future, you can do the Gold IRA transfer and give it to someone else.  For the past couple of years, war,economic recession, oil price hike,bank failures and other stuff seriously weaken the other form of paper investment, but Gold still remain it's high value.That's why until now, Gold is still the best form of investment. Even the company where my husband work before, instead of giving them the usual 401k benefit, they have an option to choose the 401k Gold as an alternative.

Smart Looking Boys

Althought I'm trying my best to get my boys get used to wear a formal attire, It is Kendrick who liked it the most. He appreciate  the compliment he recieved whenever people told him that he look nice on a formal suit and he told me once that he like it too because it makes him look Smart, which ,of course, being a mom,I have to say that he,not only look smart because he is really Smart!
Not only that, at his very young age, he already know his own fashion style. Last time we went shopping,I asked him if he want a bow ties or a neck tie and he preferred the latter,  he choose his own color that perfectly match his dress shirt,same with Patrick who choose his own color as well.Here's Kendrick with his little friend,Gaby;

Aren't they adorable? :D

Christmas Meme

I've been thinking for quite a while of creating an Annual Christmas Meme, and today, I asked a friend on Facebook on what they think of the idea and I even asked what it's gonna be called.We are already discussing the title when I realized I have an article about term life insurance to write and I told her that I'll get back as soon as I'm done.Now,I need an idea about the banner. By the way, it's gonna be a very simple meme, no prize or whatsoever, since I know most,if not all bloggers,  will surely make a Christmas post, we will all link it up on this meme.
If you have any idea with the title and banner, please let me know. Thanks!

MM#73: Last Christmas

Parang kanta yun di bah?he he he. We spent last Christmas at a friendshouse, and this years will not gonna be different either. We already received an invites from a close friend asking us to spent the Christmas with them, since hubs and I have no immediate family here,and there's only 4 of us, I see no reason to decline the invites. Although my cousin from Toronto is also inviting us, but still depends with the driving condition, hubby hates driving in snow and we never really had a long trip in this time of the year,let us wait and see...
Anyway, here's a couple of pictures from last year. The first one was during the Annual Christmas Parade in Amhertsburg. Windsor also have it every year, they will be having it this Saturday and it's our first time here to see their Christmas Parade.
Photo take from a friend's house where we spent the Christmas Eve last year;

This was from last year's Ecumenical Inter-Faith Service from the church,also held during Christmas season, we will be having it again this coming Sunday.

This,from last year's Christmas party at church, infairness, ang payat ko pa,lol!
