First, for the good news. Two days ago, I recieved an email from paypal regarding the check amounting $52 that I requested last September of 2008. It was my first earning from paid blogging but eventhough I was in the Philippines when I opened that account, I used our old address in US but unfortunately, I wasn't able to verified it hence I can't transfer it directly to our account, also,I can't change the location and I have no choice but to withdraw it by requesting the check thru the mail. So anyway, I request the check hoping that my husband who was still going back and forth from here to US would be able to get it and just deposit it, but sad to say, the check didn't make it on time since it'll take 6 weeks for them to send the check or at least for me to receive it, and we already settled everything here and no reason anymore of going back. Now about the email, since they notice that it's been six months and the check already passed the allowable time to cash it, I already accept the fact that I lost that money already, but according to their email, since I didn't cash it, they will send it back to my new account minues $1.25 as processing fee.Isn't that great? I'm so happy with that news and hoping to get that extra $$$ in my account anytime soon :D .Now, for the not-so-good-news. I talk to my sister thru YM and she inform me that my other sister lost her cellphone. the company that she worked for doesn't allow them to bring their cellphone inside their office and they have to leave everything at the guardhouse.Anyway, my sister have to go to the other branch of the company and when she got there she notice that her cellphone wasn't in her bag anymore, and she thought it's too late to file a complain against the guard because she didn't check her bag the minute she picked it up at the gate. I told her she should inform the management because it happen inside the company premises and those guard were supposed to "guard" their belongings. I don't know what she's gonna do. I felt bad for her because she bought that cellphone when she was in Dubai, somewhat it has a sentimental value, like it's her souvenir but because of those irresponsible guard who I think the one who stole it, now it's gone for good. My other sister tried to call her number but of course, it's already "cannot be reach". What else is new?Things like that happen "Only In The Philippines".
